Die Walküre

Now, Gentle Readers, here's a forthcoming flick that I am primed and ready for, Valkyrie. Directed by Brian Singer (Superman Returns), Valkyrie recounts the failed attempt of several German army officers, the so-called July 20 Plot, to assassinate Adolph Hitler in 1944. Valkyrie stars Tom Cruise (Lions For Lambs) as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, the plot's leader, and the always excellent Kenneth Branagh (Hamlet) as Henninf von Tresckow, the plan's architect. Valkyrie will be in theatres on 3 October 2008. I'm not generally a huge Tom Cruise fan. In fact, I find him kind of annoying, but damn, this movie sure does look awesome and it is well padded with a number of brilliant British character actors.

Enjoy!

Technical Difficulties

Ummm...alright, well, I guess I got my clips mixed up. This sometimes happens. Here is the Valkyrie trailer.

Enjoy!

I Am Canadian

Holy jeez, Gentle Readers, has it really been a month since my last post? Well, I am back and I shall be a little more consistent with my posts. So, I thought I would add this little blast from the past to commemorate the occasion. This is a brilliant wee commercial from a few years ago. To those of you who read this that are Canadian, enjoy. To you American readers, well, let's just have a beer, a Canadian beer, and put all of this behind us.

Enjoy!
