Gentle Readers, as of the time I am writing this post, 4239 members of the coalition force have been killed in Iraq. In human terms, that is 4239 fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, nephews. nieces etc. that will never see their loved ones again. That is 4239 funerals. That is 4239 families with pain and sorrow that may never be healed.This past week, we in Canada lost our 78th soldier to the Afghanistan quagmire. Etienne Gonthier, from CFB Valcartier, on his first foreign mission, killed by a roadside bomb at the age of 21.
The only comment I'm going to make is posted below. I think it sums it up pretty well. Maybe we should all buy a ticket.
