We're back into the vaults Gentle Readers with an awesome blast from the past in the form of Schoolhouse Rock. Schoolhouse Rock appeared on the ABC television network from 1973 to 1986 and was a series of educational short films that touched on subjects ranging from grammar, to science to politics. The episodes generally featured snappy, memorable songs in rock, pop and jazz styles that played during commercial breaks during The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show on Saturday mornings.

I am still crazy about these shows and have remembered the lyrics of many of the songs through the years. All 52 shorts of Schoolhouse Rock are available on DVD.
