And Loving It

Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 and his partner, Agent 99, working for CONTROL, fight to keep the world safe from the agents of KAOS in the 2008 Warner Bros. release, Get Smart.

This is another movie that I can't wait for. I was such a fan of the TV
series and I think that the director and producers have assembled almost the perfect cast (I have my doubts about The Rock, but what the hell). The trailer looks very promising and it appears as though the humour will be in the same vein as the classic TV series. I will be so disappointed if they screw this up. This could be an awesome franchise if they've done it properly. It was really great to hear the old theme song.

Get Smart ran on the NBC network from 1965 to 1969 and on the CBS network for its final 1969-1970 season. Get Smart was a spoof of the spy genre, most notably the James Bond film series and was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry. Don Adams starred as the inept Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 and Barbara Feldon was his more capable partner, Agent 99. The entire series is currently available on DVD.

The film get Get Smart is a remake of the classic TV series. Directed by Peter Segal (Anger Management, 2003; The Longest Yard, 2005) and stars Steve Carell (Evan Almighty, 2006) as Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 and Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada, 2006) as Agent 99. Get Smart
will be released 20 June, 2008.
