Sagittarius - 23 November to 21 December - Ninth sign of the zodiac

This astrological sign takes it's name from the constellation Sagittarius and is the ninth sign of the zodiac. The Zodiac is an annual cycle with 12 equal divisions that represents the apparent path of the sun through the sky. The constellations have been used to mark the seasons as far back as 5000 BC. There is a belief among astrologers that the stars and plants and their movements affect human activity, therefore, the twelve signs of the zodiac also represent 12 basic types of personality. Sagittarius, represented by the archer, is a positive sign as they tend to be more outgoing and sociable. Sagittarius' opposite sign is Gemini.

The Sagittarius is the rebel, an extrovert who is athletic and adventurous and does not like conformity or being "controlled. You always know where you stand with the Sagittarius as they tend to be straight-forward, tactless even, but are generally knowledgeable and philosophic and seek truth. The Sagittarius is broad-minded and generous, possesses a good sense of humour and is sexual. The Sagittarius likes having an active partner and feeling trusted but dislikes conventional romances, having to explain themselves or being forced into making promises. The Sagittarius can also be a blundering, know-it-all, who is restless and impatient.
