It's Yesterday Once More

During the 1970s and early 1980s, the National Film Board of Canada produced a series of vignettes some of which aired on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) and other Canadian broadcasters during commercial breaks. The vignettes became popular because of their cultural depictions of Canada, and because they represented its changing state. We used to watch these all the time as kids and many were shown in school as part of school lessons. This one is a personal favourite, a lighthearted, animated tale based on the song The Log Driver's Waltz by Wade Hemsworth. Kate (Mother of Rufus Wainwright) and Anna McGarrigle sing to the music of the Mountain City Four.

Enjoy!
