Britain's Empire magazine has released the cover of their January 2008 issue and oh man is it sweet. As you can see, the cover features Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain, 2005) as the Joker in the upcoming Batman movie, The Dark Knight. The Joker looks so maniacally cool in this shot and I am now officially stoked about this movie. The January 2008 issue of Empire should be hitting newsstands in the next couple of weeks.The Dark Knight is directed by Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, 2005; The Prestige, 2006) and stars Christian Bale (3:10 to Yuma, 2007), returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The Dark Knight will be released 18 July, 2008.
