Now, this has not been confirmed by anyone connected with the movie, however, Ain't It Cool News is claiming that their sources are sound on this one. According to the formerly mentioned Ain't It Cool News, Christian Bale (3:10 to Yuma) has been cast in Warner Bros. summer 2009 release, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins in the role of John Connor. Again, I stress, that this is just a rumour at this point, but if it is true, then mark me down as officially looking forward to this movie.

McG is directing from a screenplay written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris who previously wrote the screenplay for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, with an early 2008 production start and seeks to reinvent the cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-movie arc. The film is set in the future, in a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind.
